What Your Instagram Report Card Looks Like When You’re Not an Influencer
This may be a little boring…
Today I used the tool, Agorapulse, to view the metrics of my Instagram account. Previously, my Instagram account was a personal account set to private. To use this tool, my account needed to be a public business account — so here I am, freshly new to the Instagram business world, trying to navigate and make sense all of this information this tool is showing me like my followers, engagement, and impressions. For someone who is not a Instagram influencer like me, this information could be pretty boring — but hey! Maybe I would like to see how my engagement adds up from my few friends on Instagram.
The first tool I used on Agorapulse was the followers count. It shows that I have 580 followers on Instagram — not too shabby for someone with no influential content. The next tool was the engagement metric. It showed my engagement was at 10. Looking closer at the engagement data, I see that only the number of comments are being displayed, not the likes or saved. Not sure why that information is being left out of the data, but I am still able to see the amount of comments I have received in the past month. My impression data however, showed that there was no data (probably because I had a personal private account up until today, oops).
I usually post about once a month on Instagram, so it did not surprise me to see these metrics so low. I am not an influencer and I have never really took the time to promote my Instagram account. Because I am going into the social media career, maybe I should start caring more about the stats on my accounts than I do now.
Now with all of this said and done, I would like to see my report card on Tik Tok. This tool, Agorapulse, does not have the option to connect to user’s Tik Tok accounts, but I would love to see my engagement on there! I am a lot more active on Tik Tok, and have even gone viral! At what point does one become “Tik Tok famous”? I think the one viral video I had may be getting to my head… 😮
